BGC and Deep float training session

The Biogeochemical (BGC) and Deep Argo float training session within the NorArgo2 project, organized by Institute of Marine Research, was held 2930 April in Bergen.

A representative from NKE Instrumentation (France), Jérôme Sagot, presented the different possibilities for programming the BGC and Deep floats. Discussions on the different BGC-sensors and examples of PC-float connection were also covered.

The training session is of high relevance for the planned deployment of BGC and Deep Argo floats in May/June during the research cruise with R/V Johan Hjort 15 May – 4 June.
